MediWord – Terms & Conditions

Effective date: 06 October 2025

1) Who we are

MediWord (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a subscription-based educational platform at mediword.co.uk.

2) Your agreement

By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

3) Licence & permitted use

  • We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to access MediWord solely for your individual study.
  • One user per account. Account sharing is not permitted.

4) Prohibited conduct (strictly enforced)

  • No sharing/redistribution: Do not share, post, publish, email, forward, or otherwise distribute any questions, answers, explanations, notes, videos, or images from MediWord.
  • No copying: No screenshots, screen recordings, downloads, scraping, or reproduction (including AI training or dataset creation).
  • No circumvention: Do not bypass or attempt to bypass access controls, watermarks, or usage tracking.
  • No commercial use: You may not resell, sub-license, or use our content in any product or service.

5) Intellectual property

All content (questions, explanations, notes, videos, graphics, code, and brand assets) is the exclusive property of MediWord or its licensors and is protected by copyright and database rights. No rights are granted except as expressly stated.

6) Enforcement & consequences

  • Immediate, permanent termination for any breach of Section 4 (no warnings required).
  • No refunds will be issued if your access is terminated for breach.
  • We may pursue legal action and seek damages/injunctions for IP infringement.
  • We may implement/device: watermarking, usage monitoring, and other anti-abuse measures to protect our IP.

7) Professional conduct (healthcare professionals)

If you are a registered healthcare professional, you must uphold professional standards (e.g., honesty and integrity). Unauthorised sharing of copyrighted educational materials is unethical and dishonest and may contravene relevant professional guidance.

8) Accounts, access & security

  • You’re responsible for safeguarding your login details.
  • We may suspend or modify access for maintenance, security, or policy enforcement.

9) Payment, renewals & refunds

  • Subscription fees are payable in advance.
  • Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions are non-refundable. No refunds are provided following termination for breach (see Section 6).

10) Disclaimer & liability

We provide content “as is” for educational purposes; we do not guarantee exam outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses.

11) Changes to these terms

We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated via the site or email. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

12) Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
